KEY FINDING

49 — Public price

49 — Public price

51 — Other

51 — Other

49% Public price / 51% Other within a selected sample of 100 provider records. These classifications are not a representative industry-wide transparency rate or comparable SaaS explainer prices.

Six unresolved evidence records overlap these classifications; they do not form a third category.

What this snapshot measures

Pricing transparency here means a recorded numeric price for the provider’s own video or animation service. Starting prices, packages, subscriptions and usable own-service ranges can qualify, across different scopes, durations and currencies.

Source checks span October 6–8, 2026. A targeted repeat check covered 20 records October 8, followed by unresolved follow-ups within that same group. The other 80 records were retained without a new October 8 evidence audit. Detailed Pages checked entries are present for 20 records and absent for 80.

Other does not mean a provider has no prices. This purposive sample does not establish an industry-wide transparency rate, 100 currently active studios, a standard SaaS-explainer price, or a market average or median.

Methodology

Sampling: the first 50 records from The Manifest, followed by 50 additional unique Wyzowl names in list order after deduplication. The Wyzowl cutoff was MotionCue at list position 67. Source names and ranks are preserved in the CSV.

Classification: use first-party material about the provider’s own video or animation service. Numeric prices, starting prices, packages, subscriptions, per-minute rates and usable own-service ranges can meet the broad Public price rule.

Exclude directory numbers, general market guidance, client budget selectors, hypothetical ROI examples, unverified historical tariffs and unrelated-service numbers. A client-specific proposal is not a current reusable tariff.

No common brief, runtime normalization or currency conversion was applied. Preserve the recorded wording and scope. A dollar sign alone does not establish a currency code.

Batch 1–4 rechecked 20 distinct records October 8. Unresolved Pass 1 revisited four and Pass 2 five records within that group; the follow-ups do not add new companies to the repeat-check count.

Unresolved is a separate evidence status taken from the frozen sidecar. It can coexist with Public price. An inaccessible page does not prove that pricing is absent.

Glossary

Public price: a numeric own video or animation-service price recorded under the broad rule. Scope qualifications and unresolved conflicts can remain.

Other: all eight classifications outside Public price, including guidance, quote-based offers, legacy pricing, non-qualifying numbers, gating and access limitations. The exact classification remains visible in the table.

Starting price: an entry point tied to scope assumptions, not a final fee for every brief. Package price: a price for stated deliverables, without inferred additional services.

Subscription: a recurring service charge, not automatically one video’s price. Per-minute rate: a runtime-based rate, without assuming every brief qualifies.

Own-service range: a range explicitly attributed to the provider’s service. A generic market range is pricing guidance. Custom quote: an offer for a specific brief; client budget bands are not provider tariffs.

Pre-designed video: production using existing elements, distinct from fully bespoke animation. Checked: the recorded research-check date, not the tariff’s effective date or a publication date.

Unresolved: an open evidence question, not an exclusive chart category. Archive URL / Archived at: a verified capture link/date if supplied; both fields are blank throughout this snapshot.

Limitations and evidence qualifications

Only 20 records contain detailed page-level attempts. The other 80 lack those logs. Blank cells are preserved; no synthetic page list, HTTP result or archive has been added.

The sample comes from provider lists rather than probability sampling. Service scopes, models, durations and currencies differ. Broad Public price includes logo animation, branding elements and pre-designed services.

Stored checks had browser and video access limitations. Reading assets, schemas or scripts is not equivalent to rendering a form or playing a video. Website content may change after the recorded check. No verified archival captures are included.

IdeaRocket / Press to Play: for pre-designed 0–30-second work, the article states from $3,000 and the pricing table $4,000. No official reconciliation or confirmed tariff-change date was established. Both sources remain recorded; the article was not declared obsolete.

Drive 80 Studios: Hot $525 / Diablo $675 are logo-animation packages. Full-explainer pricing in Vimeo 1109424252 was not verified with playback, subtitles or a timecoded tariff.

LAI Video: Branding Elements from $8,000 covers a logo bumper, lower thirds, transitions and titles, not a complete SaaS explainer. Interview & Studio starts at $8,500; Recruitment & Membership Series / Video Marketing Campaign at $20,000; Event Video Packages at $10,000. Preserve service labels; no fixed runtime or explicit currency code is confirmed.

This release publishes no comparable-price subset, dataset average or dataset median. Earlier identity and legacy qualifications remain in the row notes.

Six unresolved evidence issues

eLearning Partners — Pricing guidance: the current replacement for the former own-video pricing page is unconfirmed. Broader learning-partnership fees are not equivalent video tariffs.

Rip Media Group — Legacy pricing: current applicability of historical ranges and discovered numeric offers remains unconfirmed. Page accessibility or an expired promotion does not establish current pricing.

Project42.Agency — No qualifying price verified: rendered JavaScript content was unavailable in stored checks. Access failure does not establish absence of pricing.

Explain Ninja — No qualifying price verified: original domain access was unsuccessful. No successor domain or substitute company was confirmed.

IdeaRocket — Public price: the $3,000 article / $4,000 table conflict remains open for pre-designed 0–30-second work.

Drive 80 Studios — Public price: logo packages are recorded; the full-explainer pricing video remains unverified.

These six records are already within the 100-record denominator: two Public price, four Other. Good Pictures, VeracityColab and Thinkmojo left the queue when the specific content-inspection gaps closed in Pass 2, without classification changes.

Corrections

This is a dated snapshot, not continuous monitoring. To report a correction, identify the provider, disputed claim and a first-party source. We will review service scope and evidence, preserve the previous snapshot, and record accepted changes with their reason, check date and affected fields.

Unresolved issues remain labeled until supported evidence resolves them. No verified archival captures are included in this release. No response deadline or automatic correction is promised.
